  • Sand & Water

These are the basic acitivites that children love! The feeling of sand and water, the many ways that they can be mixed and used lead to discovering maths and science concepts.

  • Books

Open up a world of make believe. Children love being read to. They listen, learn, concentrate and remember.

  • Play Dough

This is great for developing hand muscles and building strength, which in turn help painting and writing skills. It is also great fun!

  • Puzzles

These are fun to play with and teach children about shapes, colours and spatial concepts. They are good for hand coordination as well as memory and concentration.

  • Blocks

Blocks develop the childs building and balancing skills, as well astheir imagination. Many maths concepts are learned here as well.

No corporal punishment is ever administered to any child in our school. When a child misbehaves and he needs a little discipline or time to think about what he/she has done, we use the “time-out” method. The child has a few minutes to sit in a special place alone – either on the “sad chair” in the classroom or on the step outside the Staff room if it is during playtime. After a few minutes the teacher then speaks to the child and he goes off to play. The child is encouraged to think about what he has done and in this way to exercise self-discipline and self-control.

One rule stands firm: no child should be permitted to harm another or to hurt himself or damage property.
